Apparently, according to the Forgotten Realms wiki, there are drow clerics that follow the ooze god Ghaunadaur and form partnerships with Black Puddings, so if anybody wants to incorporate Venom into a campaign, 2002′s City of the Spider Queen already basically made it happen
So yeah, encounter: Eh-Di Braak, cleric of the ooze god, once spurned by a priestess of Lolth, using his Black Pudding partner in mockery of the spider-goddess
Item: Fly Belt, allows the wearer to fly (as the spell Fly), but for every five rounds of use the wearer is surrounded by an additional 2d4 houseflies.
Encounter: an Oni with unusually low charisma

Item: carrot-sharpener, allows you to easily hone carrots, parsnips, and so on down to a point that can be used for stabbing damage.

Item: Wand of Skinbark; holds 10 charges of Skinbark, a magic spell that works like Barksin but reversed, granting trees and other wooden objects an outer coating of human skin.
Encounter: small girl with toes for teeth, wondering if you have any rations you might spare. “Nothing too cwunchy,” she says, “I hafta eat it wiff my toe-teef.”
