Illustration by Thomas Theodor Heine for Simplicissimus, 1929.
Debauchery, decadence, chaotic fun, reds to convey warmth, night, pleasure: and a sick green to end it all. I love the creature’s design by the way, with its spraying nose and dripping lip.
Picture this: you’re a giant crystal cube, having a nice hot bath in an active volcano. You and your 6 faces are as happy as can be. But all of a sudden, a strange, fat little man dressed up as a raccoon comes along and starts stepping all over your face! Wouldn’t you be rightfully upset? Wouldn’t it just give you a frown on your little rock face? Please sympathize with Grumblump, he goes through a lot.
Item: Suit of Bloody Weapons, as Robe of Useful Items, but, y’know, bloody weapons. I know there have been several items really similar to this before, but come on, are you really going to complain about this one?
