Encounter: Mr. Nosey, a small creature (about two feet tall) of unknown species with a compulsive curiosity to read personal journals, open locked chests, &c., made all the worse because his nose works as an unlimited Chime of Opening: once per round, he can touch it to a locked chest and it opens, to a secret door and it is revealed, a shackle and it unshackles. Cannot talk and is not communicative, so it is not known if he has an agenda behind his actions.

Encounter: wizard with a sparkling flesh-colored rod of some description; while at the first they seem friendly, the wizard’s face is difficult to read, the features blurring into each other the more you try and parse it. Do they have a big nose and no eyes? Big nose, and eyes on the side of their head? Is the flesh-colored circle a single eye?

Encounter: Trap-Jawed Humbug, a ravenous insect of about a foot long that takes advantage of adventurers’ attraction to sparkling objects using its lures, resembling color-changing luminous pearls. Its goal is to bite off fingers and toes.
