• Berk: friendly, reasonably intelligent, and hard-working (for an Ooze, which isn’t saying much); has one of those spell-books that allow him to cast a few spells way above his level, but has no idea what he’s doing
• Drutt: his obese spider familiar
• Boni: a relatively amiable demilich that tends to provide sarcastic commentary more than actually doing anything
• the worm isn’t a character, it just wandered into the shot and was eaten by any one of the other three moments later
