Homebrew loot, weapons, armor, and snacks for your tabletop gaming and DM/GM needs
Encounter: These–Things? Some kind of malformed giant-progeny, clad only in spandex footie leggings. While quite strong and highly skilled at grappling, having an eyeball for a head is a pretty obvious target, and having eyes in your palms is hardly ideal for a wrestler. The real challenge comes from the third one, a being represented in mythology so often I won’t even try and list all the names it has.
Encounter: maybe an unholy fusion of an Otyugh and a raccoon? It appears to use a blast of invisible Petrifying Gas to immobilize its prey, then swallows it whole.
Encounter: Trap-Jawed Humbug, a ravenous insect of about a foot long that takes advantage of adventurers’ attraction to sparkling objects using its lures, resembling color-changing luminous pearls. Its goal is to bite off fingers and toes.
Encounter: Axe Beak
Beak, Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d8 + 2) slashing damage.
Encounter: Paul
Encounter: Left-Handed Creepy Buzzard Creature. While small, unintelligent, and relatively weak, it nonetheless poses a severe threat to adventurers in short-sleeved armor; if they successfully bite a creature with limbs on the left arm, there is a 2d8 chance of the venom entering their bloodstream and causing their hand to drop off, turning into another LHCBC. (Right-hand varieties are also found.) To recover, the newly-formed Creature must be captured, then the venom neutralized by something to cure poisons to turn it back into a normal hand, then reattached using a Cure Wounds spell.
And yes, casting Cure Venom or whatever on any CBC turns it back into a fresh and healthy severed hand.
Encounter: seems to me that an evil rhinoceros-monster made of stained glass would be a problem that would sort itself out, but here we are
Encounter: Flying Mouth…not much to add about this one, except to wonder what happens to the things it eats. Where do they go?
Encounter: Heart-Shaped Octopus. Just wants to eat hearts, with no interest in any other part of the body.
