Item: Frost Homunculus; delivers a touch-attack similar to the effects of the Ray of Frost, the target taking 1d8 cold damage and its speed is reduced by 10 feet for d4 rounds. More autonomous than most–if there is a problem, it will attempt to solve it–but always helpful and willing to stop, collaborate, and listen. Surprisingly good at home repairs.
Item: a Schnack, a creature that likes to take up residence in the mouths of magical containers (Portable Holes, Bags Of Holding, &c.) and cannot be dislodged without magical means, filter-feeding off subtle magical emanations from the portals’ dimensional energies. In regions where they are common, a jobbing magic-user can make a decent living removing them out the locals’ Handy Haversacks.
