Encounter: Thrakkorzog, a horrific cleric of the ooze god Juiblex, possessing the ability to cast Vomit Twin on his enemies to create ooze duplicates that obey him.
Encounter: low-level cleric that was killed horribly in combat, then half-heartedly reassembled by their god; they hope to redeem themself and earn proper body parts, one by one
Encounter: chaotic-evil seductress with the power of a sadistic moose god; can use seduction checks to cast Charm Person, and then cast Moose Rut (as Berserker Rage + a powerful stink that carries for miles) to cause them to attack their teammates
Encounter: G.G. Allin, orc biker-cleric of Gruumsh. I was gonna say he was human but then I noticed that what I had thought was a weird mustache is actually his tusks, thinly disguised to go among humans and spread the word.
Encounter: warrior-priest keepers of the ancient words of power; adventurers serving them are granted use of three of the words
- Ni (Power Word Stun)
- Ping (Power Word Blind)
- Nuu-Wom (Power Word Kill)
The keepers are fickle and unpredictable, however, and whatever promises they make may be changed. Any adventurer who crosses them or refuses to take on an additional quest may be subject to a fourth word of power, Eqi-Eqi-Eqi-Eqi-Pikang-Zuum-Bong-Umbl-Umbl, a dread spell that curses the adventurers to fail at whatever their life’s goal is and their life’s work to remain forever disappointed.
Encounter: Water Cleric
Apparently, according to the Forgotten Realms wiki, there are drow clerics that follow the ooze god Ghaunadaur and form partnerships with Black Puddings, so if anybody wants to incorporate Venom into a campaign, 2002′s City of the Spider Queen already basically made it happen
So yeah, encounter: Eh-Di Braak, cleric of the ooze god, once spurned by a priestess of Lolth, using his Black Pudding partner in mockery of the spider-goddess
